I really enjoyed reading this. You actually helped me alot! I've been toying with the idea of starting a blog but can't seem to find my niche. What i really want to do is just chat. Just chat. put my thoughts out for the world to read and maybe just maybe understand my point of view. I'm glad you decided to follow me on twitter. Otherwise I would have never found you. Thanks again for your thoughts. :)

I love when you say, "Bottom line is, what’s in a blog should represent you accurately and genuinely. If you can’t do that or aren’t comfortable doing that – then don’t." Consistency is definitely the key. Be yourself everywhere and remember who may be reading it (potential employers).

I just started a new job recently and when someone asked about my blog, the first thing I said was for them to check it out. It is me and I have nothing to hide. I explained it will be their way to get some insight into how I think. When I walked out of that meeting, I felt proud. I like being able to say my interactions with everyone online are the REAL Trish.

Really nice post. I'll definitely share it.

Blogging has as many personalities as the people who blog. Over the years I've often thought that the name blog should be changed to reflect more of what kind of blog it is in general terms.
A-Lister blogs, the original journal blog, Wannabe A-Listers, etc. I doubt this will happen - no one consults me on these things.
Great observation about blogs.
