A quick lesson in manners, making the most of life’s blessings AND curses and stress management:

1. Not everyone does things the way you do. It doesn’t mean it’s the wrong way, it’s just not your way. If you’re the kind of person that always has to have it your way, then go shack up at Burger King and leave the rest of us in peace.

2. Saying thank you is a moral obligation. You don’t have to say it, but if you don’t, everyone knows you’re an ass.

3. Don’t be impatient. Impatience is rude.

4. Slow down, stop driving up my ass and get off your phone. If there’s any confusion, refer to #3.

5. Not everyone is out to get you. Not everything happens purposely to screw up your life and not everything is a crisis. Buck up and deal.

6. Find your talent. Don’t long for what others have that you don’t. Discover your talent and do something with it. If you choose to do nothing, then please STFU.

7. Life isn’t fair. For everyone, at some point in their life, life isn’t fair.

8. The world around you is beautiful. Pay attention before you miss it. Birds, flowers, the sky – there is so much beauty everywhere you look. Don’t take it for granted.

9. Learn to live on less. It will make you appreciate the little things. It’s not all about manicures, expensive cars and the latest designer handbag.

10. Children are our future. They aren’t little for very long – so appreciate them for their honesty, laughter, imagination and love. They are full of wonder. Are you giving them everything they need to do and be their very best?
