For a while now, I’ve been accepting offers to tweet and blog for certain advertisers. These tweets/posts, labeled as “sponsored”, net me anywhere from $1.00 to several dollars, depending on how many words must be written, how many times it’s “tweeted” and/or how many links are included.
Some have wondered why I accept paid blogs & tweets, so I wanted to take a moment to tell you why. There are many reasons one might accept paid posting or advertisers on their site but the main reason is money. Most of you know I live on a very limited budget because I run a startup company that hasn’t yet been monetized. I use it as a means to earn extra income. Blogging is something I already do (and tweeting, too). Shopping is something we all do, right? My stance on the sponsored posts are this: I only blog/tweet about products, sites or services that I like or would personally use. So please be assured that anything I post about is something I have chosen to endorse. I don’t accept everything that is offered to me. So when you see something I’ve blogged about that’s sponsored, don’t skip it. I’ve deemed it cool enough or important enough to endorse.
I don’t intend to be a site full of only paid content. I still remain me 100% of the time. I just wanted to clarify. :)
