The haiku posted are only those that met the guidelines of haiku and were on topic. Candidates with multiple entries have been condensed to one entry deemed best and most on topic.

For those that are still saying, “What’s haiku?” Haiku is a “major form of Japanese verse, written in 17 syllables divided into 3 lines of 5, 7, and 5 syllables, and employing highly evocative allusions and comparisons.” (from dictionary.com)
